  • Information will be retained on a mailing list, where we will match your requirements as detailed by you in relation to your request, to receive information on those properties marketed by Marriotts, either ‘for sale’ or ‘to let’.
  • Contact will be made by telephone, via mobile and land-line, with numbers provided by you, email or post, via either Royal Mail or similar.
  • If any payments are made via this website or by telephone, you should be aware that Marriotts do not retain any details of your Bank Account, or debit card.

Data held by Marriotts will be kept for various periods, dependent upon the nature and use of that information.

Red Book Valuations for Purchase, Matrimonial and Probate Purposes

Once the Report has been sent to the client/s, all relevant paperwork will be securely destroyed, but electronic data relating to the valuation will be kept for a period of six years.

Residential & Commercial Agency Sales

Market Appraisals, where instructions are not given to proceed with the sale, data will be kept either in paper files or electronically, for a period of six months.

Upon completion of a sale transaction, any information held relating to unsuccessful applications/offers, will be retained until exchange of contracts, and then securely destroyed, whereupon, any relevant information appertaining to that sale, will be retained as electronic data, for a period of six years and then securely destroyed.

Residential & Commercial Agency Lettings

Market Appraisals, where instructions are not given to proceed with the letting, data will be kept either in paper files or electronically, for a period of six months.

Unsuccessful rental applications will be securely destroyed upon the signing of the Tenancy Agreement relating to that particular property, and any electronic data securely deleted.

Residential & Commercial Management

Details of the Tenancy will be retained in paper files and electronic data, for the duration of that Tenancy, and upon the determination of the Tenancy, all paper files will be securely destroyed, however, relevant data will be kept electronically for a period of six years. Thereafter, it will be securely destroyed.

Contractors/Third Party Information

As managing agents for both residential and commercial properties, we may retain electronic and paper data on those persons. Where permission has been given, Marriotts will share any necessary Data with contractors and third parties. Contractors will be given contact details for access purposes, relating to a specific property, to arrange mutually convenient appointments. Third parties, such as, Tenant Shop and Utility Companies, in order to arrange the transfer of accounts, i.e., gas, electricity, Council Tax, sewage and water rates. There may be instances where other professional bodies require data and these would include, debt collection agencies, solicitors and conveyancers.

Third Party Websites and Services

Marriotts may, from time to time, employ the services of other parties for dealing with certain processes necessary for the operation of the Website. The providers of such services have access to certain personal Data provided by Users of this Website.

Links to Other Websites

This Website may, from time to time, provide links to other websites. We have no control over such websites and are not responsible for the content of these websites. This privacy policy does not extend to your use of such websites. You are advised to read the Privacy Policy or statement of other websites prior to using them.

Marriotts may, from time to time expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Marriotts.
